A new feature has recently been added to the Tansa Windows Client which enables users to switch between different Tansa servers without having to exit the parent application (e.g. Word, InDesign, QuarkXPress, etc) or log out of the editorial system. Simply select the new “Server” item in the Tansa menu. This will bring up the small dialogue you see here on the left. Here the user can enter a new server name or IP address, or select from any server addresses previously entered. Your local IT administrator can also set up each machine with more than one Tansa server address, and all these will also be available in the list. When the new address is selected/entered, click ‘Connect’ and Tansa will disconnect from the current server, connect to the new server, and refresh the Tansa menu based on licenses and the user’s dictionary access on the new server. The user’s settings are also updated according to the new server.
